Where & what is Hardywood Park Craft Brewery?
Hardywood is one of the coolest places to gather and enjoy locally brewed beers and food truck deliciousness.
Hardywood is located at 2408 Ownby Ln, Richmond, VA 23220. This is directly off of Hermitage Rd, close to the Diamond and I-95.
Is there an admission or ticket price for shoppers?
Heck no! Free, baby, free.
Is there anywhere to park?
There is plenty of free on-street parking all around Hardywood.
I want to sell my stuff, what do I need to do?
Spring Bada-Bing is a juried show and each year we receive many more applications than we have room to accommodate. Interested vendors must apply by filling out and submitting our online application no later than midnight on March 6th. (Absolutely no late applications accepted.)
There is a non-refundable, non-transferable $10.00 application fee that must be paid when your application is submitted.
How much will this cost me?
The booth fee for accepted vendors ranges from $75.00 for an indoor space to $125 for a larger, outdoor spot.
Want your booth to sparkle and glow with electricity? There is an additional $10 fee for electricity available to indoor vendors only.
Admission to the show is free for shoppers/visitors and the show is open to the public.
What size is each vendor’s space?
This year we are offering two options for vendors – indoors and outdoors. Indoor vendors will have roughly 5 foot by 6 foot space. Each vendor will receive a 6 foot table and two chairs. Space is tight at this show and indoor vendor set-ups will be limited to this 6 foot table. If a vendor elects to decline the 6 foot table and bring an alternate display (such as clothing racks), their set up must be no larger than 6 feet wide by approximately 5 feet deep. Vendors who plan on bringing an alternate set-up should indicate this on their application (or inform us no later than 3 weeks prior to the show) as this will affect where we can place you in the venue.
The outdoor vendors will be under a large tent (to protect from our ever changing spring weather). The space will be 10 foot by 10 foot and will not include tables, chairs, or electricity. Vendors are responsible for their own display materials outside. Vendors may bring their own 10 x 10 tent frame but we ask that you remove the canopy and provide weights for the legs.
Are tables provided?
Yes – for indoor vendors. One (1) 6ft x 2.5ft rectangular table and two (2) folding chairs are provided at each indoor vendor space. Outdoor vendors are responsible for their own tables and chairs.
When are the booth fees due ?
Booth fees are due by April 1, 2013. Sorry, but there are no exceptions (no April Fools here)! We have posters and flyers to print, advertising to buy, the list goes on and on! You can pay via paypal or check. For full payment instructions, follow the link provided to you in your acceptance email. If you have lost or deleted this email, please send a message to springbadaBing@gmail.com
I’m just starting to do craft shows. Can I apply to the show with a crafty friend?
Yes, we are allowing booth sharing this year. Please follow the directions listed on the application if you want to share a booth. Collectives and Indie Craft Boutiques are welcome to apply.
I bake a mean vegan cupcake. Can I apply and sell food?
Mmmm…sounds good, but we do not admit food vendors. If you’d like to be apart of the food truck court, please contact Hardywood directly to get in the rotation.
I am an Avon/Silpada Jewelry/Beauty Control associate. Can I apply?
Sorry, but Spring Bada-Bing is exclusively for hand-made items.
What if something comes up and I can’t make it? Can I get my booth fee back?
Man, we hope everyone will be able to make it! If you get accepted and need to cancel, you’ll need to let us know by April 7th so we can refund your booth fee. After that date, the booth fee is nonrefundable.
I can’t make it, can I trade/sell my booth space?
No, because this is a juried show selling or trading of booth space is prohibited. We select vendors based on the quality and type of products listed on their application, and will select vendors from our waiting list should a space open up.
I missed the application deadline, is there a waiting list for spots?
No. Due to the large number of applicants, our waiting list consists exclusively of vendors who applied by the deadline. No new applicants are added to the waitlist and no late applications are accepted after the deadline has passed. Please do not contact us with requests to be put on the waiting list after the application deadline has passed. However, do be sure to join our mailing list to receive notification when we begin accepting applications for next year’s show.
I was a vendor in a past show, but I didn’t get into Spring Bada-Bing. What gives?
While we do not comment on individual applications, we can say that Spring Bada-Bing draws applicants from all over the East Coast (and sometimes even farther away!), so competition for spots is pretty fierce (like 3 or 4 applicants for every spot). We love our vendors, but each year the group which juries the show changes somewhat, so the results may be different from year to year. Recommended reading: Let’s Talk About Rejection.
I’m coming in from out of town. Where can I sleep?
Here are some area hotels. Please note that we’ve never stayed at some of these hotels and are not vouching for their greatness. All we know is that they’re close to the show. Period. Stay at your own risk.
The price ranges listed are good at the time of writing, but please contact the hotel for current rates. Prices were found using either Hotels.com or the hotel’s website.
What about that pesky sales tax? Do I have to collect it?
Due to Virginia state law, all vendors must collect and pay the 5% VA sales tax. You must apply for a VA sales tax account number in advance, but you can request that the account be closed after you’ve sent in the tax payment. You can apply online at the Virginia Dept. of Tax website or you can download the PDF file here. Out of state vendors: you will need to actually use the paper form as the online form doesn’t seem to be set up to accept out of state addresses. There is no charge to apply for a sales tax permit.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, but due to the nature of the show we cannot have dogs.
